ALSO....

my comic adaption of the awesome horror movie Trick R Treat is hitting stores either this week or next. I illustrated one of 4 stories based on the film. it's actually my first book but since the movie was shelved because the studio was moronic(it's real good. pick it up on dvd in a couple weeks) the book itself has been on hold for more than a year.

Alphonse is coming...... again.

Been working on issue 2 of alphonse. so it's been this murderous little guy non stop. issue 2 is gonna be 26 pages. here's a sneak peek at the cover. just started laying out color and tones. i'll post the finished one eventually.

This is what the character pages are like. to conserve space i'm thinking of doing the concept designs next to the character origins. i'm still fine tuning.

In my concept book i'm gonna also include a combined pinup and one page back story for each character that'll look like this. For Lily i liked the idea of her story being told through a child's drawings. Don't think the rest will be this quirky, but i consider Lily to be the most childish and innocent of the group so it works.

Working on a sort of super concept book based off of characters of my own creation. What you see above is a section of the book were I'm gonna take my characters and re imagine them in classic 60s and 70s style artwork and design. It will mimic those old school "Handbook for the Marvel Universe" and "DC's WHO'S WHO". This is a sample. Her real name isn't Dracula.

I'll also have a section where you'll see them as they are now and a page each for their origins. the rest of the book will be filled with the literally hundreds of concept sketches for these characters. Gonna be a very limited print run. It should called Project: GETTING OFF MY ASS.
